There will be Motivate Training Weekends organised in conjunction with the Avon Ri prior to the Motivate Challenge to ensure you have the ideal preparation to overcome the Motivate Challenge and achieve your goal in the stunning surroundings of the Blessington Lakes in Co.Wicklow.

Basic First Aid Kit - That is suitable for minor injuries such as bandages dressings etc.
Route Map - The Motivate Team will provide this at registration on the Friday.
Refreshments - You need to bring enough energy food and drinks for the duration of the challenge, to keep you going to the finish line.
Cycling Gear - Bicycle, Puncture Repair Kit and a Cycling Helmet, which is a mandatory requirement for the duration of the cycling stage.
Clothing - Suitable Clothing to ensure you are protected from the elements without restricting yourself and this must include gloves, a hat and a waterproof top.
Footwear - Suitable sturdy, comfortable footwear for walking / running.
Small Rucksack - That is suitable to carry the above items.

The Kayaking stage is run in a safe and controlled environment, Participants will be provided with a kayak, paddle and buoyancy aid which is included in the entry fee. Buoyancy Aids are compulsory throughout the entire kayaking stage to ensure maximum safety.
The full list of prizes has yet to be confirmed but it will include both cash and non-cash prizes for all categories, which include Overall Male/Female, Senior Male/Female & Junior Male/Female in both Motivate 25° & Motivate 65°.
Fri 10th September - All competitors must register for The Motivate Challenge 2010 on Friday September 10th between 10am - 9pm in Punchestown Racecourse and drop their bicycle at the designated area for the transition in the Avon Ri, which is only 10 minutes drive from Punchestown.
Sat 11th September - The first wave of competitors will depart Punchestown at 7am in 30 minute intervals, Competitors will receive more information in there Motivate pack in the weeks prior to the event regarding start times etc. All competitors must be at the start 15 minutes prior to the start time.
All competitors will be supplied with a timing chip, which will give a very accurate finish time, and it will also give you a time for each stage of the event, as it will stop at each transition period so that no time will be lost in transition from stage to stage.
